Well Hello!

 If you are reading this, thank you. You’ve seen our very small page dedicated to our family travels and thought I’ll even give the blog post link a little tap. That’s dedication and I promise that we will make it worth your while. 

Here we will share our trips (past, present and future) our families dreams and hopes for the next chapter in our lives. We won’t sugar coat it… what’s the point- but we will share with honesty and integrity what we’ve learnt and loved. 

Who the heck are we and why do we think our lives or our travels are interesting enough to warrant an Instagram page and a blog? Well short answer is ‘life is way too short’. We’ve learnt this through many experiences in our lives and happiness is worth striving for because we ain’t here long. 

We are a family of four- two dads, two adopted boys a dog and a cat. We have in the last 6 months had quite the revelation- We don’t think the UK is working for us. Don’t get me wrong, we love our lives. We both have decent jobs and the kids are happy and thriving at school but life is more than work and school, for us we need experiences, challenges and ultimately a better style of living. This is just our opinion and what we plan to do 100% wouldn’t be for everyone. We won’t use this platform to tell you why we are right and you are wrong we’ll use it to tell you, show you and share with you why this is right for us. 

Our plan has a few options. 1st option and what we have put quite a lot of work into is relocating to Australia 🇦🇺. We have 7 expression of interests in and have been actively looking for work sponsors. We even moved out of our house into a chalet in our friend’s garden to save money and build our dream. This takes time and money and I will explore our Australia dream so far in another blog. 

2nd option- If Australia drags its heels and we don’t get anywhere with that option we will make the jump and go travelling for a bit. Asia, India… we have many lonely planet books and have been dreaming of this for some time. 

3rd option- Doing both- somehow, someway, it’s not been fully thought through but our options at some point all merge into one.

Adventure is calling us but with many unanswered questions and elements. So for now, we will capture here what we’ve been up to, update on the next thing and keep dreaming. If you’ve got this far- well done. More to come…
