 Amsterdam & Berlin What started as a quick trip to shake off the January blues somehow turned into a near week-long adventure. London to Amsterdam, then Amsterdam to Berlin. Travelling with kids is always… interesting. This time was no different. The youngest traveller made it very clear from our first train journey (Kent, UK) that the rucksack he’d been allocated would absolutely not be going on his back. Naturally, it ended up on one of ours. First lesson of the trip: we have unknowingly raised travel princes. And travel princes they remain. As all trips abroad do, ours began with the long and fairly dull journey to the airport. London Luton Airport. I did think to myself that at no point, other than when describing the airport, would I put London and Luton in the same geographical bracket. It’s a good 30 miles away. But who am I to argue? Well Hello!

 If you are reading this, thank you. You’ve seen our very small page dedicated to our family travels and thought I’ll even give the blog post link a little tap. That’s dedication and I promise that we will make it worth your while.  Here we will share our trips (past, present and future) our families dreams and hopes for the next chapter in our lives. We won’t sugar coat it… what’s the point- but we will share with honesty and integrity what we’ve learnt and loved.  Who the heck are we and why do we think our lives or our travels are interesting enough to warrant an Instagram page and a blog? Well short answer is ‘life is way too short’. We’ve learnt this through many experiences in our lives and happiness is worth striving for because we ain’t here long.  We are a family of four- two dads, two adopted boys a dog and a cat.
